Diving spots are accessible all along the coast: the Franjack, the Japanese Garden

The underwater hot spring with water temperatures between 35 and 40°C. Used for therapeutic purposes.

A pool has been constructed where tourists and locals mingle to share special moments between the sulfurous water and the sea water.

- LA SOUFRIÈRE

The Zen Garden is located 32 km from La Soufrière by road. However, don't expect to reach the summit by car! La Soufrière must be earned, and to fully enjoy a clear view of the surrounding islands, only a few privileged will have the opportunity.

We advise you to check the weather before embarking on this discovery for "average" hikers. Count approximately 2H30 to 3H00 round trip. The ideal is to arrive early in the morning at dawn.

- CIRCUITS -

- North Basse Terre -

The North Basse-Terre circuit is a varied route between the rainforest, waterfalls, and spectacular Caribbean sunsets. The "Route de la Traversée" will take you through the rainforest, past the very touristy "Cascade aux Écrevisses" before arriving on the "leeward coast" and the Caribbean Sea.

Recommendations (depending on the weather, but be careful of the river when it rains): dangerous!

On the leeward side, the Saut d’Acomat in the commune of Pointe Noire is among the must-see spots.

After about 20 minutes of walking, descend towards the river that you cross to reach Saut d'Acomat on the left.

- South Basse -Terre -

South Basse-Terre is the wettest and most tropical region of Guadeloupe. At 1467 meters above sea level, the active La Soufrière Volcano and the volcanic chain retain clouds and their moisture, creating a dense forest.

One of the most visited must-sees, the second Carbet waterfall, located in Capesterre Belle Eau in the heart of the national park. After about 25 minutes of walking, a well-maintained trail leads to the base of the second waterfall.

The La Soufrière Volcano is a hike for experienced hikers. Starting from the Bains Jaunes, it takes about 2h30 to climb steep slopes to the summit. But only the luckiest or "early risers" can enjoy the breathtaking view of the neighboring islands from the summit about 10 days a year.

On the cultural side, it mainly happens around Pointe-à-Pitre and Gosier with theaters, nightclubs. Many sports activities are also offered in Grande-Terre, on land with many trails, on water and under water (kite surfing, surfing, diving, jet skiing...), but also in the air with skydiving over one of the most beautiful "spots", gyrocopter to discover from the sky the superb color contrasts of Guadeloupe.
