View of the Caribbean Sea

Their strategic locations offer a view of the Caribbean Sea, Pigeon Islets, the reserve, the bay, and even the mountain range. An exceptional view in a tropical setting. In The Zen Garden, diverse and meticulously maintained vegetation provides a space where plants, tropical flowers, and fruit trees harmonize to delight all your senses. Located very close to Malendure Beach, you are 5 minutes away from all possible activities on the leeward coast: kayaking, diving, walking, whale watching, and much more... as well as shops and local markets. Our accommodations allow our visitors to be at the heart of our beautiful island's activities for limitless discovery in a relaxing and intimate setting.

Cousteau Reserve

Diving or snorkeling enthusiast : At The Zen Garden, you have the privilege of being just minutes away from the Cousteau Reserve.

Diving into the Cousteau Reserve means entering a protected natural reserve, an ideal ecosystem to observe. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, the "spot" is worth the detour. A glass-bottom boat is also available for the less sporty to enjoy this must-have experience.

Turtles? They can already be encountered with simple snorkeling from the beach. It is strictly forbidden to touch them as they are fragile and sensitive to the bacteria we could transmit to them.

Malendure Beach

Malendure Beach, the closest to The Zen Garden, is a beach made of rather black and very fine volcanic sand.

On this beach, and all around, are various diving clubs, kayak + mask and snorkel rentals, and various fast-food establishments where the famous regional "bokit" is served.

Above the beach, in the direction of The Zen Garden, Le Rocher de Malendure is a restaurant ideally placed for tasting good fish from the Caribbean Sea.

Birloton waterfall

About 2 hours round trip: Bourceau River, a small trail through the tropical forest and old cocoa plantations will lead you to the first Bilroton waterfall. A waterfall about 18m high and its pools. The pools are not very deep, but swimming is possible and quite refreshing in sulphurous water around 23, 24°C... You will notice towards the arrival that a wall descending to the waterfall is equipped with a rope to assist you.

Caution! Rainy days are sometimes accompanied by dangerous river floods. If you observe a "brown" color of the river accompanied by rain in the mountains, do not take any risks!
